Chris Hickey

Chris Hickey has been in fulltime practice since admission to the NSW Bar in 1973.

In 1991 Hickey was admitted to the Dregree of Barrister at Law and became an Ordinary Member of The Honourable Society of Kings Inn, Dublin, Ireland.

Hickey has appeared for plaintiffs and defendants in the Supreme Court and District Court on a regular basis in the areas of expertise set out below:

  • Personal injury – motor vehicle claims.
  • Personal injury – public liability claims.
  • Personal injury – occupier’s liability claims.
  • Personal injury – medical negligence claims.
  • Personal injury – work injury claims.
  • Professional negligence claims.
  • Family Provisions Act claims.
  • Succession Act claims.

In 2004 Chris Hickey was appointed as a Mediator by the NSW Bar Association for the referral of District Court matters.

In 2005 Chris Hickey was appointed as a Mediator for the referral of Supreme Court matters.

Hickey has continued to be appointed and currently is appointed by the NSW Bar Associatoin as a District Court Mediator and Arbitrator until 31/12/2014.

Hickey has continued to be appointed and currently is appointed by the NSW Bar Association as a Supreme Court Mediator until 2014.

Hickey has appeared in mediations since 2003 and acted as a Mediator on a regular basis since that date.

In 2007 Chris Hickey was appointed a Member of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia.

Hickey is a Nationally Accredited Mediator.
